Operations Manager (Site Manager 1) - 29030

Location: Yuma, AZ

Anticipated Salary Range: $84,271.00-$105,000.00

Level of Experience: Management

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Operations Manager (Communications) to join our team in Yuma, AZ. In this role, you will work closely with the Contract Site Manager to support the operations and maintenance of communication and network systems for the NITE contract. You will oversee and lead personnel responsible for coordinating the maintenance and sustainment of communication systems that directly support live operations.

What You Will Do
  • Manage daily operations of the Communications department in accordance with documented contractual guidelines.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
  • Comply with all established policies and procedures, including quality assurance and security procedures in the performance of duties.
  • Consult with department managers in the resolution of problems related to operations and maintenance.
  • Keep Section Leads fully informed, and provide information and reports to senior management.
  • Assist with managing facilities, coordinating upgrades, planning events and corporate functions, and coordinating onboarding of new employees.
  • Communicate contract philosophy, policy, and practices to employees in communications operations and ensure compliance.
  • Direct, oversee, and/or support implementation of internal programs and projects for SWTTR operations.
  • Maintain liaison with SWTTR government representatives to develop and implement enhanced capabilities for current and/or new communications systems.
  • Maintain flexibility in taking on duties as assigned, as this role’s responsibility is the operational health of both the Communication department and its team members.
  • Comply with contract requirements and take action when necessary to correct deficiencies.
  • Work directly with subcontractor Program Managers to ensure Operations Department compliance with approved Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU) agreement.
What You Must Have
  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor’s degree in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with a Master’s degree in related field; or high school diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Extensive years of DoD training range experience.
  • Managerial experience with DoD efforts.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Active Secret clearance.
Bonus Points For Having!
  • Experience with communications equipment (UHF/VHF Radios, Microwave Communication Systems, Voice over IP).
Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above floor level.
