About the Role

Our client is seeking a Live Production Manager to oversee all aspects of live operations, including flock health, performance, and day-to-day farm management. This individual will be responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring animal welfare standards, and leading a team across multiple barns or sites.

This role will partner closely with leadership across feed mill, processing, and veterinary teams to ensure alignment from farm to plant. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, strong operational knowledge, and a data-driven approach to improving performance.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee daily live production operations across multiple barns/sites, ensuring optimal flock performance
  • Monitor and manage bird health, mortality rates, feed consumption, and production metrics
  • Lead and develop farm teams, including supervisors and hourly staff, driving accountability and performance
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare, biosecurity, and food safety standards
  • Partner with veterinary teams to implement health programs and respond to any flock issues
  • Collaborate with feed mill operations to ensure proper nutrition and feed delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with processing/plant teams to align production schedules and bird supply
  • Track and analyze key KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and cost efficiency
  • Manage budgets, labor planning, and operational resources across assigned facilities
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements (USDA, OSHA, environmental standards, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience in live production, poultry, or large-scale agriculture operations
  • Strong knowledge of flock management, animal health, and production systems
  • Experience overseeing multiple sites or large-scale operations preferred
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Understanding of biosecurity, animal welfare, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to analyze production data and drive performance improvements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
