Description
Job Brief:
The Seasonal Grain and Agronomy Operations Associate will perform duties associated with grain and agronomy within the facility in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
Leadership:
  1. Promote an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the mission and core values of Nexus.
  2. Model behaviors that support Nexus Cooperatives mission and core values to be a trusted advisor to our customers and members.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Grain handling including but not limited to filling, reclaiming, and transferring of grain.
  2. Restocks supplies and inventory; places orders as needed.
  3. Enters purchase order data in the inventory control system.
  4. Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy.
  5. Records, reports, and returns defective items.
  6. Processes invoices, supplying necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping.
  7. Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
  8. Handles complaints related to shipments; notifies supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues.
  9. Comply with government regulations and company safety policies and procedures
  10. Responsible for the transporting of grain, liquid, dry, and NH3 Fertilizers and additional commodities associated with day-to-day operations of the company.
  11. Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, and tender trucks.
  12. Ability to document, complete, and maintain records not limited to fertilizer and chemical inventory, production maintenance, daily operations, and inventory.
  13. Responsible for loading and delivering customer products and services that are sold by the location.
  14. Inform the Location Manager of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise.
  15. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year grain and agronomy experience preferred.
  • Proficient with inventory control systems.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
