Location: On-site in the Southeast U.S.
Compensation: Median base salary around $130k+ (commensurate with experience if you exceed qualifications) + incentive compensation + potential equity
Reports to: Senior finance leadership
Industry: Equipment Finance / Specialty finance / leasing / asset-based platform
Overview
A growing specialty finance platform is seeking a Director of Finance & Operations to join its leadership team. This role is ideal for a strong senior accountant or accounting leader ready to step into a broader position with exposure to both finance and operational responsibilities.
The person in this role will help drive day-to-day finance execution, support operational processes, interface with external partners, and contribute to the ongoing build-out of a scalable, tech-enabled platform.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support core accounting and finance functions, including month-end and ongoing financial processes
  • Act as a key liaison with external accounting partners and other outside advisors
  • Partner with leadership on financial reporting, process improvement, and operational execution
  • Oversee or support servicing-related workflows and cross-functional operational processes
  • Help build scalable infrastructure across finance and operations
  • Participate in leadership discussions and support strategic initiatives
  • Interface with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership and investors
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting, automation, and overall efficiency
Ideal Background
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or finance operations
  • Background in leasing, specialty finance, commercial finance, or a related environment preferred
  • Strong accounting foundation with interest in a broader operational leadership role
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growth-oriented business
  • Tech-forward mindset with the ability to improve processes and leverage systems effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with senior leadership
  • CPA or advanced accounting/finance background is a plus, but not required
