The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Market President and Branch Managers in their market to shape and execute strategic business development initiatives.
Position Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Market Expansion
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and trends in the new market.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for market penetration and expansion.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, local businesses, and community leaders.
  • Loan and Deposit Generation
    • Devise and execute targeted strategies to attract loans and deposits in alignment with Achieva Credit Union's objectives.
    • Drive initiatives to increase loan and deposit portfolio while maintaining adherence to risk and compliance standards.
  • Brand Representation
    • Act as the face of Achieva Credit Union in the new market, embodying our values and commitment to community engagement.
    • Participate in relevant community events, forums, and networking opportunities to enhance the credit union's visibility.
  • Collaboration with Market President, Branch Managers, and Business Partners
    • Work closely with the Market President to align business development strategies with overall market goals.
    • Collaborate with Branch Managers in the new market to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts in achieving business development objectives.
    • Collaborate with the Commercial Relationship Manager in the new market to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts in achieving business deposit and commercial loan goals.
    • Collaborate with the Mortgage Loan Officer in the new market to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts in achieving mortgage lending goals.
    • Collaborate with the Achieva Wealth Advisor in the new market to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts in achieving wealth goals.
  • Goal Setting and Performance Metrics
    • Develop clear and measurable goals in partnership with the Market President for market development, loan, and deposit acquisition.
    • Regularly track and report on performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve or exceed targets.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with internal departments, such as Marketing, Operations, and Risk Management, to ensure seamless integration of business development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with other Achieva Credit Union branches to share best practices and maintain a cohesive organizational approach.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or similar field required or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of lending, deposit products, and financial services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
