Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Senior IT Delivery Manager to join our team at Durham, NC office.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.
Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage end to end delivery of IT initiatives, including AI, data, and digital transformation programs, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.
  • Develop project plans including scope definition, detailed activities, schedule baselines, resource plans, and cost estimates.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies-sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives-while integrating structured project controls where applicable.
  • Track project performance through KPIs, sprint metrics, burndown charts, schedule variance, effort tracking, and quality indicators.
  • Use AI powered tools to enhance planning accuracy, automate documentation, identify risks, and generate project insights and dashboards.
  • Oversee delivery of AI and Non-AI use cases, coordinating across technical, QA, architecture, and business teams to ensure production readiness.
  • Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure timely escalation of risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Maintain RAID logs and execute proactive mitigation strategies across workstreams.
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration with engineering, QA, architecture, data, and business teams to ensure project alignment and release readiness.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, change control, security, and compliance standards, including AI governance and responsible AI considerations where applicable.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners to refine backlog priorities, ensuring user stories, acceptance criteria, and AI use case outcomes are clearly defined and measurable.
  • Conduct stakeholder communication and management, ensuring expectations, scope, and timelines remain aligned.
  • Support team productivity by leveraging generative AI for documentation, requirement drafting, summarization, and workflow automation.
  • Coordinate resource allocation and collaborate with leads to manage team capacity and competency needs, including AI/data skills.
  • Facilitate post implementation reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Promote a delivery culture focused on predictability, accountability, and customer centric outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 8 or more years of experience in IT project delivery, Agile delivery management, or related roles, including delivery of digital, data, or AI enabled initiatives
  • 5 or more years of experience managing projects using both Agile and traditional PM methodologies.
  • 1 or more years of experience supporting delivery of AI-enabled solutions, with awareness of AI lifecycle considerations such as data readiness, model dependencies, integration complexity, and production readiness.
  • 2 or more years of experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CAPM, CSM, or SAFe certification (or progress toward certification).
  • 1 or more years of experience working on CRM, analytics, cloud, or enterprise platform projects.
  • 1 or more years of experience with generative AI, project intelligence platforms, or AI driven automation tools.

Additional Qualifications
  • Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, risk management, and performance tracking.
  • Strong understanding of AI enabled tools used in project delivery, reporting, or productivity workflows.
  • Experience with cross functional delivery involving engineering, QA, architecture, and data teams.
  • Familiarity with data driven reporting, KPI frameworks, and dashboarding tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
