You'll help support the operational processes that enable our client teams to deliver solutions to some of the world's largest insurance companies while gaining exposure to a unique and sophisticated area of the financial services industry.

About the Role

As an Insurance Operations Associate, you'll play an important role in supporting the operational execution of our reinsurance business across North America. You'll work with colleagues across multiple functions to ensure data is accurate, business processes run efficiently, and new client transactions move smoothly from onboarding through execution.

You'll be trusted to manage important operational activities while continuously learning about our business and identifying ways to improve how we work.

What You'll Do

  • Support the onboarding of new business by ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Review, validate, and maintain operational data to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Monitor operational metrics and KPIs, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues when appropriate
  • Assist with governance, audit, and compliance activities by preparing documentation and supporting internal control processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and help simplify operational workflows
  • Partner with teams across Client Markets, Treaty Administration, Finance, Valuation, and other business areas to support the full business lifecycle
  • Provide responsive, professional support to internal stakeholders while delivering excellent service
  • Expand your knowledge through cross-training and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team

What You'll Bring

  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, administration, financial services, insurance, or a related field (internship experience also considered)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and validate data accurately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset and a desire to continuously improve processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice to Have

  • Experience or coursework related to insurance, reinsurance, or financial services
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, workflow tools, or operational systems
  • Exposure to audit, governance, or compliance activities
  • Experience working with large datasets or business reporting

The estimated base salary range for this position is $56,000 to $84,000.  The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.  At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
