Position Title: Sales Assistant

Location: Humble, TX 

Assignment Type: 3-month contract with potential for contract-to-hire 

Compensation: $22 - $24 / Hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-5PM

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). 

We are seeking a Sales Assistant to support the sales and operations teams by accurately entering and managing purchase orders and related documentation. This role supports day‑to‑day sales operations and plays a key role in ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter purchase orders, customer orders, and stock orders with a high level of accuracy
  • Support the sales team by gathering required order details and coordinating with operations
  • Assist with answering and directing incoming phone calls
  • Generate and document material or order‑related reports
  • Prepare documentation needed for order processing and shipping
  • Maintain organized and accurate records
  • Provide administrative support to sales leadership and team members
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Sales Assistant, Inside Sales, or Administrative Assistant
  • Experience entering purchase orders
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments
  • Exposure to ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience supporting sales or operations teams
