Job description

Job Title: Packaging Operator – 1st Shift
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Experience Required: 1–3 Years

Job Description:
The Packaging Operator will operate and tend machines that perform one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, tying, packing, or wrapping containers. The role requires execution of assembly instructions per Batch Record requirements for Packaging and Labeling processes in compliance with cGMP guidelines, with accurate and timely documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual processes for Primary and Secondary Packaging per batch record instructions.

  • Assist in operating and setting up automated equipment for packaging operations.

  • Assist with reconciliation and material movement between packaging areas and the warehouse.

  • Report any potential issues to QA, Team Lead, Equipment Specialist, CPS Project Coordinator, or Manager.

  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of packaging rooms and equipment as per departmental procedures.

  • Support Equipment Specialist in executing qualification protocols for new equipment.

  • Complete training on SOPs, maintain GMP documentation, and ensure proper logbook entries.

  • Attend meetings and discussions in support of production schedules.

  • Participate in safety processes and meetings.

  • Maintain a professional and confidential relationship with sponsors and comply with all federal and state regulations.

  • Adhere to and clarify safety and sustainability requirements as needed.

  • Promptly report safety issues or opportunities and take corrective action where applicable.

  • Stop work when necessary to maintain safety.

  • Other applicable duties as assigned.
