Job Summary:

Assistant Shift Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the equipment, staff and processes on the production floor. They manage the production team and oversee scheduling and day-to-day production activities. Assistant Shift Supervisors are primarily in charge of ensuring the production line is operational and maintaining the ongoing production of products. They are also responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the overseeing the manufacturing processes and procedures in factory production operations
  • Assisting in evaluating each station of the production process to maintain optimum efficiency
  • Enforcing all safety policies on the production floor
  • Assisting in maintaining communication between management and employees to ensure that necessary policies are understood and followed
  • Assisting in ensuring that the flow of resources like raw materials is maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently


Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping.
  • Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
