Job description

Production Assistant - Roofing Operations
IBC Roofing | Full-Time | Field-Based
Start your career in roofing operations with IBC Roofing, where hands-on work meets real growth opportunity. As a Production Assistant, you'll play a key support role in keeping our roofing projects running smoothly. This is an entry-level field position designed for someone dependable, organized, and ready to learn the production side of the construction industry.
You won't be stuck behind a desk - you'll be out in the field, supporting job sites, working with crews, and learning how roofing projects are executed from start to finish. This role is a stepping stone to Production Manager and other operations leadership positions.
What You'll Do
As a Production Assistant, you'll support the production and operations team with essential field and logistics tasks, including:
  • Delivering materials and supplies to job sites
  • Ensuring crews have the tools and products needed to stay on schedule
  • Assisting with job site setup and general site support
  • Communicating updates between crews and the production team
  • Taking job progress photos and uploading documentation into our CRM system
  • Helping track materials and report shortages or issues
  • Performing light site inspections and reporting observations (training provided)
  • Supporting Production Managers with day-to-day operational needs
  • Learning roofing systems, safety standards, and project workflows

What This Job Is NOT
This is not a senior management or full project oversight role - it's a support and development position with hands-on field involvement and a clear growth path.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors and on job sites
  • Ability to lift materials and handle physical tasks
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn construction and roofing operations
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Basic computer skills (phone apps, email, simple software)

Construction or roofing experience is a plus but not required - we'll train the right person.
Growth Opportunity
This role is designed as an entry point into roofing operations management. High performers can grow into Production Coordinator and Production Manager roles.
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Life Insurance
  • Health Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Competitive Pay
  • Paid Time Off
