Manage maintenance staff, including Facilities Engineers, Controls Engineers, and interns. Recommend personnel action such as hire/termination, evaluation, coaching, training, and discipline. Implement training and improvements utilizing staff member skills and talents to best benefit business needs and employee motivation. Utilize tools, meters, testing equipment, and root cause analysis tools to guide and teach effective problem solving. Manage operational accounts for maintenance functions and assist in development of plant operating and capital budgets. Lead Continuous Improvement and preventive maintenance programs to maintain all equipment and facilities assets in proper working conditions. Develop and maintain maintenance procedures compliant with IATF 16949 and applicable Customer Specific Requirements. Ensure maintenance work adheres to applicable federal and state codes and standards, including IATF 16949. Assist engineering department with evaluation, procurement, and installation of new equipment. Respond to customer generated work requests. Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and internal Tenneco parties. Provide prompt responses to all plant emergencies. Handle/store hazardous waste in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Prioritize, schedule, assign, and manage computerized maintenance systems with work orders, asset details, and spare parts. Initiate action as needed to prevent violations of the Tenneco Integrity Policy. Serves as Quality Management System owner of core processes and procedures relating to Maintenance, Facilities, and Equipment.                                           

MINIMUM EDUCATION:               Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:               Five (5) years of experience as Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Coordinator, or Maintenance Head.

ALTERNATE REQUIREMENTS:       Seven (7) years of experience as a Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Coordinator, or Maintenance Head.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:            Two (2) years of the required experience must have included design, wiring, and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
