Our organization systems are marketed under the Inspired Closets, ORG Home, Gorgeous Garage, ProClosets, EasyClosets, EasyGarage, Easy Track, and Garage Essentials brand names. 

The Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Logistics Manager located in Holland, MI.  We are the country’s premier source for custom closets and organizational solutions; designed, custom-cut, and shipped directly to our clients. 

Primary Purpose of Position:  

The Logistics Manager is responsible for optimizing The Stow Company’s transportation network to deliver cost-effective, reliable, and customer-focused logistics solutions. This role leads inbound and outbound transportation operations, manages freight spend, and serves as the primary liaison with the company's Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL) provider to ensure operational excellence, service performance, and end-to-end transportation visibility. Through strategic carrier management, transportation planning, and continuous improvement, the Logistics Manager drives efficiency, supports customer demand, and contributes to the company's overall supply chain performance. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Own and manage the 4PL partnership, serving as the primary liaison and ensuring alignment on execution, priorities, and service expectations 
  • Establish and lead a 4PL governance framework, including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, and regular business reviews to drive accountability and performance 
  • Direct end-to-end transportation operations across inbound and outbound flows, ensuring effective planning, routing, and execution 
  • Drive transportation cost management and optimization, including budgeting, freight spend oversight, invoice audit validation, and cost reduction initiatives 
  • Monitor real-time shipment performance and resolve service disruptions, delays, and capacity constraints in collaboration with the 4PL 
  • Own and manage ShipERP and EWM partnerships, serving as a liaison and ensuring alignment on execution, priorities, and service expectations 
  • Ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and visibility across ERP, TMS, and 4PL systems to support informed decision-making 
  • Partner cross-functionally with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service to align logistics execution with business demand and production plan
  • Lead continuous improvement and network optimization initiatives to improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance transportation efficiency 
  • Oversee carrier strategy and performance through the 4PL, ensuring optimal capacity, service reliability, and contract compliance 
  • Develop internal team capabilities and define clear roles and accountability between internal teams and the 4PL while resolving complex logistics issues 
  • Lives Company values on a daily basis.

The Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities.  Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions and/or the capabilities of available personnel.  Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, BS in Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related preferred 
  • 5+years in logistics and/or supply chain 
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required, knowledge of PowerBI 
  • Advanced analytical experience in MS Office, Tableau, Business Intelligence, etc.  

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: 

  • Preferred Industry Certification in Supply Chain [i.e.: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), APICS Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)] 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to work with large data sets and strong mathematical background 
  • ERPexperience preferably SAP S4/Hana and ShipERP 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain concepts and parts flow 
  • Effective at developing and using standardized work 
  • Understanding of lean concepts 
  • Understands and employs change management methodology 
  • Uses logic and problem-solving tools to develop plans to meet targets and look forward proactively and to prioritize 
  • Can lead conversations with carriers in a proactive, productive manner 
  • Strong analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude and quantitative skills 
  • Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company 
  • Must have excellent customer service skills; including strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a team 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

  • Sitting at workstation approximately 80 percent of work time 
  • Standing and walking approximately 20 percent of work time 
  • Must be able to travel between plant and office locations 
  • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice 
  • Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces 
  • Manufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts
