Job description

GSOC Operations Analyst

We're hiring a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Operations Analyst to support 24/7 protective intelligence monitoring for our client. This is a key role on a small, high-visibility team. Candidates must arrive with a working understanding of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and strong critical thinking; we'll teach you how to apply both in a live GSOC environment.

About the Role

The GSOC Operations Analyst helps safeguard our client's people, assets, and interests worldwide by monitoring and triaging global events, then delivering insights to stakeholders. We are a small, tight-knit team where every analyst has real ownership and direct impact on the GSOC's success. Small details matter, and stakeholder trust is built through consistent, accurate, and timely output. We're looking for sharp minds who can learn quickly, apply solid OSINT fundamentals and clear communication, and adapt existing experience into a high-paced GSOC environment.

Work Environment Schedule: 24/7 operations on a continental rotation, 12-hour shifts (nights, weekends, and holidays included) Location: Modern downtown office, conveniently located near bus and O-Train transit hubs Note: Successful candidates must be willing to sign an NDA and maintain strict confidentiality

What's in it for you?
  • Hourly wage of $25.20
  • We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy
  • Full-time opportunities available
  • Career growth at GardaWorld
Key Responsibilities
  • Intelligence Monitoring: Monitor and triage global events and threats, identifying issues that may impact client personnel, assets, or operations.
  • Investigations: Support investigations into incidents affecting personnel, facilities, or travel, with thorough and accurate documentation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate risks, threats, and operational developments to client stakeholders via concise intelligence reports.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Contribute to incident analytics, travel risk assessments, and routine reporting tailored to GSOC and stakeholder needs.
Core Skills and Attributes
  • OSINT Foundation: Working understanding of OSINT principles, common tools, and verification methods.
  • Critical Thinking: Assesses information, identifies what matters, and makes sound decisions even with incomplete data.
  • Composure & Time Management: Prioritizes competing demands and maintains accuracy under tight deadlines and high-tempo events.
  • Multi-Tasking: Manages concurrent workstreams - monitoring, tracking, drafting, and responding - without losing accuracy.
  • Communication & Documentation: Produces clear, concise writing for audiences ranging from frontline operators to senior leadership. GSOC outputs are highly visible,
    and precision matters.
  • AI-Enabled Workflow: Comfortable (or willing to learn) using in-house AI models to draft and refine messaging - with human oversight intact.
  • Collaboration & Adaptability: Works effectively in a small, shift-based team; comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Assets
  •  Hands-on experience with enterprise security tooling (mass-notification, travel risk, or threat intelligence platforms)
  • Exposure to protective intelligence, threat analysis, or corporate security concepts
  • Multilingual capability for monitoring non-English sources
Qualifications
  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong proficiency with technology
  • Ability to stand, sit and walk throughout shift
  • This role suits candidates early in their security, intelligence, or operations careers with studies or experience in any of the following:
    • Criminology, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Political Science, Security or Intelligence Studies
    • Journalism, Communications, or research-heavy disciplines
    • IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or related quantitative fields
    • Operational experience in a GSOC, SOC, EOC, NOC, help desk, military, or law enforcement environment
    • Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

This posting is for a position that is currently vacant within the organization.
