We're actively seeking a talented Operations Advisor Management ("OAM") Specialist to join our multi-life/executive benefits Life OAM team.

  • This role is hybrid based in our Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE office.


As an OAM Specialist, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career forward by facilitating complex inquiries primarily, but not solely, for our Multilife business, which includes corporate-owned (COLI), corporate-sponsored and individually owned life insurance policies. You will be assigned a block of insurance firms to directly support and cultivate relationships that maintain high trust and growth opportunities within the corporate life insurance market.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Consistently meets standards for quality and efficiency of call/email/correspondence handling for assigned financial professionals and firms.

  • Uses good diagnostic skills to clearly identify customer's core issues and anticipate needs.

  • Ability to clearly explain rationale behind procedures or requests.

  • Analyzes escalated case submissions by thoroughly reviewing all necessary resources.

  • Proactively monitors status of issue resolution and ensures processing is completed correctly. Communicates outcome effectively to requestor.

  • Provides consultations for FPs submitting first time/complex business to ensure post-issue NIGO resolution Life

The experience you bring:

  • Series 6 license required at time of application.

  • 2+ years CMD Operations experience, ideally focused on communication and service support with customers.

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.

  • Advanced level of understanding of CMD annuity and/or life products, workflow processes, procedures and Operations services

  • Strong relationship management skills and demonstrated ability and desire to deliver a stellar service experience with customers.

  • Excellent research and analysis skills; Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve complex issues

  • Strong, effective and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to complete assignments in a high-volume, fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to balance accuracy, speed, and customer service.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience with administering corporate-owned (COLI) and corporate-sponsored life insurance plans and policies.

  • Knowledge of Life products, processes, and transactions with ability to confidently speak with internal and external customers, which may include participation in conference calls with producer offices and/or leadership.

  • Experience interacting directly with financial professionals and insurance firm leadership.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, Customer Relationship Management platform, AWS, and workflow management platforms.

Position Level & Compensation:

The salary grade for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications and will fall within either the 110Has a Specialist or 111Hgrade level as an Analyst.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
