Position Summary
The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is seeking an AdministrativeAssistant 3 to support the Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS)Division. Reporting to the Director, this position provides advancedadministrative & operational support for a multifaceted divisionresponsible for enrollment and student success services. It serves as a centraladministrative liaison for the division & coordinates a variety of fiscal,personnel, project, reporting, scheduling, records-management, &event-related activities. Position assists with administrative problem solving,monitors and reconciles expenditures, coordinates division projects andoperational commitments, prepares reports and correspondence, supports staffrecruitment processes, and works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff,schools, community partners, and other University departments. The successfulcandidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, confidentiality, attentionto detail, sound judgment, and ability to manage priorities in astudent-centered environment.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, TheUniversity of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of TheUniversity of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the regionand is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis onteaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs,technical programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit courses to high schools inValencia and Socorro Counties. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Business or related field
  • Spanish/English bilingual
  • Experience with Banner or a similar software/platform
  • Experience with purchasing software such as Chrome River or similar platform
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Administrative/Customer service experience in an educational environment
  • Experience with electroniccalendaring and scheduling
