  • High school graduate or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous clerical/secretarial experience is preferred; three to six months on-the-job training to learn the job.
  • Ability to operate CPU and peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of computer operations.
  • Standard business machines.
  • Good analytical ability and verbal communication skills
  • Alphabetical and numerical filing ability.
  • Accurate typing or keyboarding skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills are preferred (word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Ability to coordinate work flow of other clerical employees
  • Must complete continuing education requirements as outlined by Crawford Educational Services.

  • Transcription, statistics and memos.
  • Prepare billings and assemble work product for distribution.
  • Answers and directs incoming phone calls.
  • Greets visitors.
  • Open, index and sort all mail (incoming and outgoing)
  • Prepares SISDAT inputs.
  • Photocopying, faxing and scanning functions as needed by the service center personnel.
  • Assists and/or relieves other clerical personnel for vacation, sick leave or as deemed necessary.
  • Assists in and/or performs general clerical/secretarial duties necessary to accomplish daily service center activities.
  • Performs general filing duties.
  • Assist as needed with the accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities within the specific service center operation. This may include calling, faxing, emailing and interacting with vendors and clients.
  • Maintains inventory control system for supplies.
  • Serves as a liaison between service center and corporate headquarters departments to provide direction for answering questions and solving problems.
  • Provides secretarial assistance for service center; serves as back-up support to administrative personnel.
  • Maintains vacation and sick leave records.
  • Operates and maintains CPU, controllers and peripherals.
  • Coordinates and directs problem determination to ensure system problems are properly analyzed, reported and resolved.
  • Maintains system problem log.
  • Assists local/remote service center and corporate headquarters personnel in obtaining system information.
  • Reports system and equipment malfunctions.
  • Assists in training of personnel.
  • Transmits and backs-up remote site data.
  • Keys, verifies, stores, processes and retrieves alpha and numeric data.
  • Prints checks, special forms and reports.
  • Collates and distributes reports.
  • Schedules workflow.
  • Maintains system/data security as deemed necessary by Information Technology personnel.
  • Follows up on and helps maintain the status diary of the Vehicle Appraisers and Heavy Equipment Specialists.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.
  • Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested.
