Position Summary

As a Staff Accountant, your primary focus will be supporting the daily financial operations of the company through accurate accounting processes, timely reporting, and effective collaboration across departments. This role works directly under the Controller and plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting operational accounting functions, and ensuring the efficient processing of financial transactions within a fast-paced construction and service environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely while verifying proper job costing, coding, and
  • Maintain vendor files, supporting documentation, W-9 records, and assist with vendor onboarding
  • Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure vendors are paid within established
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor
  • Assist with customer invoicing, progress billing, collections, and maintenance of accurate accounts receivable
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile corporate credit card statements and
  • Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting
  • Maintain organized accounting files and financial documentation for reporting and audit
  • Assist with payroll support, reporting functions, and internal financial analysis as
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Operations, Payroll, and Project Management
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Construction accounting or project-based accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial
  • Experience with accounting software systems; NetSuite experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting
  • Understanding of job costing and project-based accounting within the construction
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with company policies and
