Job description

The Basics:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering
  • 3 years of experience with the following:
    • C#, C++, SQL
    • HMI Systems (WINCC/Wonderware)
  • Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server preferred)
  • Capable of analyzing technical information and quickly learning new technical skills
  • Intermediate to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Familiar with programming languages
  • Commitment to adhere to all safety and environmental standards and guidelines

The Extras: 

  • Steel manufacturing experience is preferred with emphasis on high temperature furnaces
  • Experience with international quality and safety standards

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Working initially with a project team and transitioning to a manufacturing plant operating team after commissioning the new equipment and plant.
  • Coordinating and instructing user acceptance testing procedures with both functional analysts in the production systems team and end users of developed solutions.
  • Conducting code review to maintain code standards within the team.
  • Providing software configuration and customization including report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations.
  • Participating with other disciplines in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards of safety and quality.
  • Forming strong and effective relationships with colleagues in related functional areas.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office and Industrial setting
  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
