Job Summary:
Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is a company that contributes architectural glass and building products to various projects across the United States. They are seeking an Operational Technology Engineer to provide advanced IT and application support for metal processing facilities, ensuring effective communication between plant operations and Corporate IT while managing systems that enhance production visibility and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Provide advanced IT, systems, and application support for two metal processing facilities, serving as the primary liaison between plant operations and Corporate IT.
• Lead development, administration, and support of custom MES (Epics) and Ignition systems, delivering real-time production visibility through dashboards, automated workflows, and data structures.
• Design and maintain SQL- and Crystal Reports–based reporting to track productivity, throughput, and quality metrics used daily by leadership.
• Support end-user computing and hardware, including PCs, printers, barcode scanners, user access, and device security.
• Administer and develop SharePoint solutions to support document control, production, and quality processes.
• Serve as local administrator for the IQS Quality Management System, configuring forms, dashboards, and reports to track audits and corrective actions.
• Maintain backup and recovery infrastructure for all critical systems, provide Tier 2–3 Microsoft 365 and Active Directory support, manage security camera systems, and ensure systems remain compliant, reliable, and aligned with corporate standards.
• Document processes, train users, and deliver data analysis and custom reporting to support operational decision-making.
