An Operational Readiness Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that new projects, systems, or processes are fully prepared for launch and ongoing operation. They coordinate between various departments to verify that all resources, training, documentation, and procedures are in place before a project goes live. Their role includes identifying potential risks, organizing readiness assessments, and facilitating communication to ensure a smooth transition from project development to operational use.

How does an Operational Readiness Coordinator typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during project implementation?

An Operational Readiness Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that all departments—such as engineering, safety, operations, and maintenance—are aligned and prepared for new processes or facility startups. This often involves frequent meetings, coordinating checklists and readiness reviews, and facilitating clear communication between teams to identify and address any potential gaps. The Coordinator acts as a liaison to ensure that everyone understands their responsibilities and that operational handovers occur smoothly, minimizing risks during transitions. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are vital for coordinating complex activities and ensuring all teams are aligned. These skills are crucial to guarantee smooth transitions, risk mitigation, and the timely delivery of operational objectives.
