Packer Fastener is looking for a Operations Utility Associate to join our team!

Primary Duties:

  • Serves as a reliable and flexible resource, primarily supporting Receiving, while demonstrating the ability to assist across distribution center operations, including order picking, shipping, fabrication, and CMV driving, based on daily business needs
  • Learns and accurately executes processes and systems to meet quality and productivity expectations
  • Partners with DC Manager and warehouse leaders (REC, PICK, SHIP) to execute daily priorities
  • Commitment to safety and, when assigned, operates Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with all safety rules, training, and applicable DOT/company requirements
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping standards and participating in continuous improvement practices
  • Promotes Operational Excellence and our company Swagger through teamwork, communication, and a willingness to support other related duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth through cross-training, continuous improvement, and readiness for expanded responsibility and advancement opportunities
  • Makes safety a priority in all tasks, including warehouse equipment operation and CMV driving where applicable
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; able to obtain coverage through the company’s auto insurance carrier per the Driver Safety Policy (and meet applicable requirements when CMV driving is assigned)
  • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities and the ability to stay composed and effective in a fast-paced, high-volume operation
  • Flexible in scheduling to support staffing needs, including limited second shift hours with appropriate advance notice
  • Must be able to routinely handle and lift object(s) up to 50 pounds
  • Must have basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
