The Continuous Improvement Specialist are responsible for supporting the roll out of key projects and initiatives that result in performance and customer satisfaction improvements.

Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct process improvement initiatives with process owners
  • Support the implementation of TRACC
  • Support ITFs to deliver on end state
  • Administrative and technical support for ITF teams
  • Ensure via audits that tools are appropriately and effectively used
  • Serve as a business change agent leading process improvement initiatives and process redesign projects throughout the plant
  • Monitor complex monthly Process Excellence performance metrics to ensure that organization objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, and quality are met
  • Perform line and machine studies
  • Facilitate Problem Solving Sessions
  • Support RCPS site agenda
  • Interpret cross-functional processes, and to prepare clear, concise recommendations for process improvements
  • Provide administration support for in-house training courses, including maintenance of training records.
  • Support SOP reviews
  • Drive Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs)
  • Carry out Loss Waste analysis
  • Carry out data analysis on Performance Management via Data Capturing Management System
  • Carry out DILOs
  • Compiles and prepares reports, presentations and other documents as advised by the Operational Excellence Manager
  • Provide editorial support for various departments, including developing and maintaining Microsoft Word templates as required
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • LSS certified - Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • 2+ years of Lean manufacturing and project management experience
  • 4+ years experience/competence in Operations, Maintenance, Process Control and Performance Measurement in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)/ Consumer Packaged Goods (CMG) preferably food manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate and have proven experience in delivery of Continuous Improvement Projects on the shopfloor
  • Preferably have an appropriate qualification in Distilling, Packaging, Engineering or Utilities (as appropriate)
  • Demonstrate detailed understanding of statutory requirements and responsibilities - ISO and FSSC.
  • Demonstrate understanding of teamwork principles, continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Respond to change in a positive and flexible manner and sustain a positive outlook across a range of situations/challenges.
  • Positive attitude to own development and looks for opportunities to help others learn and develop.
