Job description

Job Summary:

The primary focus of an Operations Assistant I is to provide administrative and operational support to the brokerage operations team in servicing client accounts and fulfilling operational requests. This role is responsible for executing routine tasks with accuracy and timeliness while learning brokerage processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
As an Operations Assistant, you will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of MA Brokerage Solutions by supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring a high level of service for internal partners and clients. You will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and develop foundational skills necessary for progression within brokerage operations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support
  • Process routine transactions such as account updates and maintenance
  • Completes paperwork for client onboarding
  • Maintain data integrity across systems (Junxure, Laserfiche, Aspen)
  • Assist with onboarding and account setup
  • Support account transfers and lifecycle events
  • Respond to internal requests and escalate complex issues
  • Partner with team members to complete requests
  • Follow established workflows and procedures
  • Field inbound client calls
  • Provide front desk coverage
  • Assist with general administrative tasks
  • Participating in training and development
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements:

Education:

  • High School diploma with a bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • 1-2 years office experience desired
  • Financial services industry preferred
  • Prior experience working in an office environment with a customer service focus helpful

Job Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining client focus and demonstrating attention to detail
  • Enjoy collaborating and building positive relationships internally with co-workers and externally with clients and business vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills required; prior use of CRM system (Junxure) a plus.
  • Strong desire for continuous self-learning and professional growth
