Job description

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

The Operational Assistant provides secretarial support to management, department and physician advisors.  Utilizes tools to streamline day-to-day activities and to create appropriate reports, schedules and documentation; organizes, updates and controls filing systems as required by the department; and maintains a high level of initiative; dependability and motivation.  These endeavors are conducted within established objectives, procedures, and philosophical framework of the Department and Powers Health. They are directed toward the achievement of excellence in patient care. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must pass typing test at minimum of 50 wpm.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and programs including word processing and statistical data. Must pass proficiency tests for Word and Excel.
  • Two years of secretarial experience preferred.
  • Medical terminology background preferred.
