Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring an Operations Analyst for a supply chain/logistics company in Houston, TX. In this role, you will manage outbound shipments, coordinate inventory transfers with third-party warehouse partners, and process freight invoices, working daily in SAP, Airtable, and Excel. This is a long-term placement with room to grow into a permanent role based on performance.
Pay: $25-$35/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Work Environment: Office
Responsibilities
  • Send daily shipment notification emails to customers with tracking numbers, estimated delivery dates, and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Monitor shipment tracking and resolve issues, including lost shipments, delays, damage claims, address corrections, and delivery failures, within 48 hours of identification.
  • Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) documents from trucking carriers within 48 hours of delivery and upload to Airtable for tracking, reporting, and audit.
  • Coordinate with 3PL warehouse partners to schedule and execute inventory transfers, then monitor status and update systems.
  • Create Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists (CIPL) for international shipments and coordinate with trade compliance teams for cross-border clearance.
  • Review and reconcile monthly trucking carrier freight charge reports, then submit vendor freight and warehouse invoices through Airtable for Accounts Payable processing.

Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or warehouse coordination.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Airtable for shipment tracking, reporting, or invoice management.
  • Familiarity with international shipping documentation, including CIPLs and BOLs, and cross-border trade compliance.
  • Experience coordinating with Accounts Payable teams on freight invoice reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Background working cross-functionally with sales, warehouse, and carrier teams on order execution.
  • Hands-on experience working with trucking carriers, 3PL warehouses, or freight operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or logistics management systems such as SAP.
