Position Overview
As an Analyst II, Credit Risk, you will play a critical role in shaping CarMax Auto Finance's credit strategies and driving operational excellence. In this dynamic position, you'll leverage advanced data analytics, statistical modeling, and database tools to analyze, test, and implement credit product strategies that enhance both business performance and customer experience. Your insights will help optimize credit processes, improve originations, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership. You'll also design and maintain reporting dashboards for key metrics such as originations, bookings, and sales trends, ensuring timely and accurate updates for decision-making. Role Responsibilities
  • Analyze, test, and implement credit product strategies using statistical and database tools to improve performance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize credit and originations processes, enhancing value for both the business and customers.
  • Design and maintain reporting dashboards for metrics such as originations, bookings, and sales trends.
  • Deliver insights and updates to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational risk controls, maintaining CarMax's commitment to integrity.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 0-3 years of experience in an analytical role.
  • Strong ability to access, manipulate, and interpret data using analytical tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and general software applications.
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in an analytical or mathematical discipline.
  • Experience with database systems and programming tools (e.g., SQL, Python).

Work Location and Arrangement:
This role will be based out of the CarMax Auto Finance office (Kennesaw, GA). Associates will work onsite 4 days per week.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will not be considered for this specific role.
