Registered Nurse-Operating Room

Location: Herrin, Illinois
Pay Rate: $60/hr โ€“ $63/hr
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM โ€“ 6:30 PM; call required
Guaranteed Hours: No guarantee
Experience: Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse โ€“ Operating Room for a day shift opportunity in Herrin, Illinois. This role is ideal for an OR RN with strong surgical experience who can support high-volume procedures, including orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic cases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room

  • Support heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team

  • Monitor patient condition and report clinical changes appropriately

  • Provide patient and family education as needed

  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient safety standards

  • Participate in call coverage, including weeknight and weekend call

  • Float to other facilities if needed

Requirements

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse license required

  • Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required

  • BLS/BCLS required

  • ACLS preferred/required per unit needs

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills required

  • Must be able to work 10-hour day shifts and call coverage

  • Weekend call required, including 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month

  • Flexibility required based on department needs
