    Responsibilities

    Cleans and services rooms, removes waste, and performs special projects as assigned.  Inventories and restocks supplies on the unit and obtains supplies and rental units.  Provides support to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities. Performs various tasks and duties to provide assistance and support in an expanded Support Tech role to the staff in Surgical Services.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED

     

    • High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience
    • One (1) of experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare related position.
    • Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

    PREFERRED

     

    • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
