About You

This is a rare opportunity to join Devs.ai as our founding Account Executive, working directly with the founder and General Manager of the business unit, and playing a critical role in shaping our growth and culture.ย 

You have a track record of succeeding in previous sales roles and the drive to build something from the ground up. You'll partner with the Devs.ai GM, Product team, and Sales Engineering to identify prospects, build meaningful customer relationships, and guide prospective clients on their AI journey. You bring a solid understanding of the B2B AI landscape, strong business acumen, and a consultative approach to sales. You listen carefully to what customers are trying to achieve and connect their goals directly to what the Devs.ai platform can deliver. You communicate clearly at every level, from technical evaluators to executive decision-makers, because in a fast-moving environment like ours, clarity is everything.

Note: This Account Executive role follows a 50/50 pay structure - base salary and variable compensation each represent half of the total compensation. The figure listed below reflects the base salary only.

What you'll do and how you'll have an impact

  • Complete AppDirect's in-depth onboarding and sales training to become an expert in our messaging, products and services and unique sales approach;
  • Identify, qualify and progress our end to end sales process for new business opportunities, delivering an unparalleled level of service to potential customers;
  • Be responsible for selling AppDirect's Devs.ai platform and in parallel, look for opportunities to cross-sell AppDirect's full suite of products & services in partnership with product sales specialists;
  • Execute a vertical/territory plan that will fuel the ongoing growth of your business enabling you to exceed your monthly, quarterly and annual sales quota;
  • Cross-functionally coordinate internal resources needed to close new business;
  • Represent AppDirect in all customer facing engagements, traveling to customers locations as required and engaging at all levels of an organization;
  • Present and advise customers and prospects on established digital commerce best practices.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years experience as a Sales Development Representative and/or Account Executive for an enterprise software solution company, with a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota;
  • BS/BA degree required;
  • Strong ability to present compelling value propositions & return on investment in complex environments to a wide variety of individuals; technical and/or executive audiences;
  • Working knowledge of the B2B AI landscape - you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to be able to speak credibly about AI products and their business applications;
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first contact through signed contract;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.You can distill a complex solution into a clear, compelling value statement that connects directly to a customer's stated goals;
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage, fast-moving environment where priorities shift and the playbook is still being written;
