Job description

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Checks job sheet and establishes daily service schedule, including responding to dispatcher as required
  2. Services all rolling stock, including fueling, greasing and changing oil to maintain equipment.
  3. Maintains daily log of service maintenance on equipment.
  4. Identifies problems on equipment and notifies Equipment Manager or Heavy-Duty repairperson.
  5. Assists Heavy Duty repairperson as necessary.
  6. Checks vehicle(s) prior to driving and completes required CDL check lists.
  7. Follows DoT / OSHA regulations and Company safety policies.
  8. Completes daily equipment fuel sheets for all equipment.
  9. Supervises and trains Repairperson Helper(s), as required
  10. Learns duties of other shop personnel and provides coverage as needed.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  2. One year experience servicing and performing preventive maintenance on heavy equipment (Personal tools are required to perform basic PM servicing)
  3. CDL, Type B with a tanker and hazardous material endorsements, Valid Driver's License and favorable driver history record.
  4. Able to pass Homeland security background check, read, write and follow instructions.
  5. Able to use hand tools to perform vehicle maintenance tasks.
  6. Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, or overtime as required by jobs

We primarily employ carpenters, laborers, and operating engineers. We are signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the following unions listed below and are subject to the hiring rules of each collective bargaining agreement. We anticipate hiring for projects on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai as work becomes available and will be contacting the respective union to fill these positions:
