CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer

Job Description Summary

AAM is hiring for a CNC Lathe Machinist with Programming experience for Prototype Machining Facility in Warren Michigan for 2nd shift. Second shift may be 8 or 10 hours, starting at 4PM EST, and paying a differential. Associates in this role are eligible to receive benefits including healthcare, retirement planning, and tuition reimbursement among others.

Job Description:

  • Program, Set up and Operate CNC Lathes producing tooling and prototypes (Mazak, Mazatrol).

Precision tight tolerance work

Verify stock and the Tooling before putting in the machine

Set Offsets with a touch probe, Test indicator, or Edge finder

Check parts with Micrometers, Telescoping gauges, Calipers, or Touch Probe

Required Skills and Education

High School Diploma
