Job Title: OpenText Engineer

Job Description:

  • Content Server xECM Architecture Administration
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert SME for Content Server xECM
  • Architect deploy and administer complex OpenText Content Server xECM environments for largescale enterprise use
  • Perform system configuration maintenance and performance tuning to ensure stability and optimal operation
  • Manage upgrades patches and hotfixes for the OpenText platform
  • Solution Development Integration
  • Design and develop robust Content Server solutions using WebReports Workflows and custom scripts to meet business requirements for automation and efficiency
  • Create and optimize intricate Content Server workflows for various business processes
  • Perform databaselevel integrations including designing and writing SQL queries functions and managing data exchange with external systems
  • Integrate Content Server xECM with leading enterprise applications using xECM widgets for a seamless user experience
  • Data System Expertise
  • Possess a deep understanding of the Content Server database schema to inform solution design and development
  • Be proficient in PostgreSQL for query development performance analysis and data management
  • Work with the business team to perform CIS modeling and business analysis defining and implementing standard file plans and metadata usage
  • Agile Team Collaboration OnsiteOffshore Model
  • Collaborate effectively with a geographically distributed team onsite and offshore
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including daily standups sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Clearly articulate technical designs and solutions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in the team
  • Ensure smooth handover of work and knowledge transfer between teams across different time zones

Required Skills and Experience

  • Solid experience as a Content Server xECM Architect System Administrator for enterpriselevel implementations
  • Proven expertise in WebReports Design Development for complex automation and reporting solutions
  • Strong background in Workflow Design Implementation within OpenText Content Server
  • Deep understanding of the Content Server Data Model and database schema
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL Development including writing advanced SQL queries and functions
  • Handson experience with DatabaseLevel Integrations for data exchange with external systems
  • Familiarity with xECM Widget Application Integration
  • Strong CIS Modeling Business Analysis skills with the ability to define file plans and metadata based on business needs
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL as it pertains to Content Server deployments
  • Familiarity with key AWS Cloud Services eg EC2 S3 RDS in the context of OpenText deployments

Preferred Qualifications

  • OpenText certifications eg OpenText Certified Professional
  • Experience with other OpenText products eg Brava Blazon Archive Center
  • Experience with scripting languages eg Python Bash for automation
  • Familiarity with CICD pipelines for OpenText deployments
