Position: Assembly Mechanic
MAIN PURPOSE:
Perform in-shop repairs and overhauls.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overhaul winches, valves and hydraulic components.
- Perform maintenance on engines, forklifts and cherry pickers.
- Installation of new and rebuilt cranes onshore.
- Assist in overhaul of cranes in shop.
- Provide own hand tools.
- Keep shop and grounds clean and maintained.
- Maintain all shop tools, equipment and supplies.
- Know and understand Sparrows Offshore' Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Basic knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel repair.
- Must be able to identify major crane components.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- 2+ years' relevant experience
