Job Summary

Serves as the primary IT leadership authority for regional operations, overseeing and coordinating all technology infrastructure, systems, and services across onshore and offshore environments in full compliance with Corporate IT governance standards. This role requires advanced strategic judgment to assess complex organizational IT requirements, architect solutions, and drive implementation of systems that directly support business continuity and operational excellence. Lead the regional IT operations with a focus on service excellence, infrastructure reliability, and consistent end-user satisfaction across geographically dispersed locations, while simultaneously managing high-priority rig lifecycle events and driving the regional adoption of enterprise IT initiatives.

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and executive oversight of all regional IT operations, systems, and infrastructure - setting performance standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring full alignment with Corporate IT policies and global business objectives.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all IT and electronic data operations including network infrastructure, cloud systems, cybersecurity posture, and data management - ensuring optimal uptime, reliability, and scalability across all regional assets.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team through strategic recruitment, structured onboarding, ongoing coaching, skills development programs, and rigorous performance management - cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT, translating complex user requirements into actionable technology solutions that directly contribute to organizational policy and strategic decision-making.
  • Own and manage the annual regional IT operating budget ($1M-$4M), driving cost optimization, vendor negotiations, and strategic investment decisions that maximize ROI and support long-term business goals.
  • Enforce and advance the security framework for all data assets, network access controls, and backup/recovery systems - ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate information security standards.
  • Proactively identify operational risks, systemic vulnerabilities, and performance gaps; design and implement strategic solutions that minimize downtime, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Safeguard all technology assets, enforce information security protocols, and maintain robust control structures across all regional IT environments.
