Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for the service, repair, & operation of hydraulic / pneumatic handling equipment and all systems used in conjunction with these assets. This position is also responsible for providing technical guidance and support to both offshore and onshore rig operations that are using Workstrings hydraulic / pneumatic systems. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide rig based technical support for hydraulic / pneumatic equipment (backsaver, slips, bowls, bushings and hydraulic elevators)
  • Ensure rig hydraulic / pneumatic lines and system are compatible with Workstrings equipment
  • Provide rig guidance on the proper function testing and running of Workstrings equipment
  • Provide shop support for maintenance, repair, and testing of Workstrings hydraulic equipment
  • Maintain shop condition and general appearance
  • Organize, repair, and maintain equipment used to service or process rental product accessories
  • Assist in verifying accurate inventory counts and location of rental product accessories
  • Load, unload, and move company equipment
  • Service rental product accessories both received and in preparation for rental
  • Must be available to travel to and from rig locations at any time
  • Follow established QA & HSE policies and procedures
  • Other related duties as assigned by superiors

TECHNICIAL SKILLS and BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES

  • Superior knowledge of Workstrings equipment packages (ex. Forum, Varco, B&V, etc…) preferred
  • Experience with related company equipment a plus but not required, training will be provided
  • Able to effectively communicate with other employees, rig personnel, 3rd party inspector and customers
  • Able to process other company equipment as needed
  • Able to meet physical requirements as defined by the company
  • Able to work an on call schedule on a rotating basis
