Job description

Website Marketing Specialist
The Website Marketing Specialist manages and improves the University's digital presence through website administration, SEO strategy, digital communications, and user experience optimization. Working closely with the Marketing and Creative Services team, this role supports the University's brand, enrollment, and marketing goals by managing web content, digital platforms, and performance analytics.
Candidates will be invited to demonstrate a willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
  • Develops, tests, implements, and maintains the web-based university Content Management System (CMS) for all University websites.
  • Creates new sub-sites for programs and initiatives consistent with the University's brand and are well organized, user-friendly, and designed to drive engagement and inquiry generation.
  • Manages projects with internal partners and inter-departmental teams to ensure project deadlines are achieved with quality results.
  • Creates and maintains redirects and vanity URL's.
  • Monitors website performance, search rankings, traffic trends, and user engagement using Google Analytics and similar tools. Provides insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Creates and maintains accurate website content that is optimized for web, search, and online ad campaigns.
  • Remains current with new strategies and tools for website enhancements and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Creates digital (online) registration forms to support University events.
  • Assists with the setup of email marketing campaigns using CRM tools.
  • Manages campus digital signage systems and coordinates digital display content across campus locations.
  • Creates and maintains digital forms used for website inquiries, event registrations, email campaigns, and other University communications initiatives.
Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience Include:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, information systems, web development, communications, or other related field
  • Required: A minimum of 2 or more years of digital marketing or website management experience.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in website management, online marketing or communications.
  • Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities.
  • Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Office of Public Affairs and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict's admonition that all be received as Christ.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Working knowledge and basic analytical skills in Google Analytics or a similar reporting tool.
  • Working knowledge of online registration form creation using Wufoo or a similar form creation tool.
  • Proficiency with web-based Content Management Systems (CMS) required; Drupal experience preferred. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, UX design principles
  • Working knowledge of SEO, including tools like SEMRush or similar tools;
  • familiarity with AI and its impact on web performance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop or photo editing preferred.
