Job description

We are seeking a hands-on** **Technical HVAC Trainer to serve as the primary technical resource for our nationwide network of contractor and dealer partners. This hybrid position combines technical training, field support, customer support escalation, and sales support. The ideal candidate is an experienced HVAC professional who is equally comfortable troubleshooting complex installations, delivering engaging technical training, and assisting with advanced customer support issues.

This role plays a key part in supporting product adoption, improving installation quality, and enhancing the overall customer experience. The position requires frequent travel to provide in-person training and field support, balanced with virtual training, content development, and remote technical assistance.

Technical Field Support

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for contractor and dealer partners, providing installation guidance and troubleshooting support in the field.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues, recommend solutions, and document findings to support continuous product and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams by providing valuable field feedback and customer insights.

Training & Content Development

  • Develop and deliver in-person and virtual technical training programs for contractors, dealers, and internal teams.
  • Create training materials, technical documentation, presentations, videos, and other educational resources.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining online training content and certification programs through a learning management system (LMS).

Customer Support

  • Act as the senior escalation resource for advanced technical support cases.
  • Manage complex customer and partner issues from initial assessment through resolution while coordinating with internal departments as needed.
  • Analyze recurring support trends and contribute to improvements in technical documentation, FAQs, and training materials.

Sales Support

  • Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise during customer presentations, product demonstrations, and strategic account meetings.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to demonstrate products and educate prospective customers.
  • Support sales efforts by helping customers understand product features, installation best practices, and technical benefits.
Qualifications & Skills
  • HVAC Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on residential and/or light commercial HVAC installation, service, and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Training Experience: Experience delivering technical training in classroom, virtual, or field environments with strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Technical Support: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide exceptional customer support.
  • Content Development: Experience creating technical documentation, training materials, instructional videos, or learning content.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 75% throughout the United States, including occasional weekends for training events and trade shows.
  • Communication & Organization: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
