Description

 We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Machine Operator, specializing in sewing or longarm quilting, to join our team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will primarily focus on operating industrial sewing machines and longarm quilting machines to produce high-quality sewn products, textiles, and quilts. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our production processes, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate industrial sewing machines and/or longarm quilting machines to produce high-quality products according to specifications and project requirements.
  • Follow detailed patterns and guidelines to ensure accuracy and precision in each product.
  • Set up machines, thread needles, and adjust tension settings as needed for optimal operation.
  • Monitor the condition and performance of machines, performing routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  • Inspect completed work for quality control, identifying any errors or imperfections and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the production area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and production goals.
  • Perform other duties related to machine operation as required by production needs.


Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines and/or longarm quilting machines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and read patterns or blueprints.
  • Proficiency in machine setup, threading, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work on a PRN (as needed) basis, depending on production needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a production environment focused on textiles, quilting, or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with a variety of fabric types and sewing techniques.
