Leasing Manager

This role combines strategic sales leadership, hands-on coaching, and operational excellence to maximize occupancy, increase revenue, and strengthen resident satisfaction.

By leading leasing initiatives, optimizing prospect conversion, and ensuring a best-in-class resident journey, the Leasing Manager plays a critical role in the overall performance and reputation of the community.

To thrive/succeed as the Leasing Manager, you should have:        

  • 3-5 years of leasing management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage leasing operations, resident relations, and occupancy goals.
  • Experience managing and leading a team of employees.
  • Working knowledge of any industry-standard property management systems such as Yardi, RealPage OnSite, and/or HappyCo.
  • Established understanding of local markets, competition, and regulations. 

Your responsibilities as the Leasing Manager will include:        

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing leasing team to achieve occupancy, leasing, renewal, revenue, and customer service goals through ongoing training, performance management, and sales coaching.
  • Oversee all prospect management activities, ensuring telephone, email, and online inquiries are handled promptly and professionally, qualified effectively, and converted into appointments, tours, and signed leases using property management and CRM platforms.
  • Drive leasing performance by monitoring traffic, conversion ratios, closing percentages, and follow-up activity; assist team members in overcoming objections, closing leases, and executing strategies that maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Ensure an exceptional prospect and resident experience by maintaining community presentation standards, delivering personalized property tours, supporting move-ins and renewals, and resolving customer concerns with urgency and professionalism.
  • Maintain compliance and operational excellence by auditing lease files, overseeing application and move-in workflows, monitoring online reputation management efforts, and collaborating with onsite teams to support property performance and brand standards.
