How much does a realtor make off of a $300,000 house?

A realtor typically earns a commission of around 5-6% of the home's sale price, so on a $300,000 house, they would make approximately $15,000 to $18,000. This amount is usually split with the buyer's agent, so the realtor's share depends on their agreement and the local market norms.

As an online realtor, most client interactions and collaborations with other agents, brokers, and service providers happen digitally. You'll use video calls, virtual tours, e-signature platforms, and online listing services to guide clients through every step of the buying or selling process. Effective communication skills and proficiency with real estate technology are essential, as you'll coordinate showings, negotiations, and document exchanges remotely. This setup allows for flexible scheduling but requires strong self-management and responsiveness to ensure a smooth client experience.
