How much do online radiographer jobs pay per week?

As of Jun 25, 2026, the average weekly pay for online radiographer in the United States is $1,830.69, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $1,153.85 and $2,394.23 per week, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of an Online Radiographer?

As an Online Radiographer, your daily tasks generally involve remotely reviewing medical imaging studies, collaborating with off-site radiologists and physicians, and ensuring image quality meets diagnostic standards. You may guide patients or local healthcare staff through proper positioning for scans using virtual tools or consultations. Additionally, maintaining accurate patient records, adhering to confidentiality protocols, and troubleshooting technical issues with imaging or telehealth systems are important parts of the job. These responsibilities require strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic support in a remote healthcare setting.

Can you become a radiographer online?

Becoming a radiographer typically requires completing an accredited in-person degree program in radiologic sciences and obtaining relevant certification or licensure. While some theoretical coursework may be available online, practical training and clinical placements are essential components that must be completed in person. Therefore, fully online radiography programs are rare and often not sufficient for certification or employment.

What is an Online Radiographer job?

An Online Radiographer is a licensed radiologic technologist who remotely reviews, interprets, or assists with medical imaging procedures, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. They may work with teleradiology systems to support healthcare facilities by providing digital image analysis and reporting. Online Radiographers ensure accurate imaging procedures, maintain patient data security, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams remotely. This role is essential for expanding healthcare access, particularly in underserved areas.

Can I work from home in radiology?

Online radiographers typically cannot work entirely from home because their role involves operating imaging equipment and capturing diagnostic images in medical facilities. However, some radiology professionals may perform remote image interpretation or reporting tasks if they have the necessary certifications and secure access to hospital systems. Most hands-on procedures require presence in a clinical environment for safety and accuracy.

What jobs pay $10,000 a month without a degree?

Online radiographers typically require specialized training and certifications, making it unlikely to earn $10,000 monthly without relevant qualifications. High-paying jobs that may reach this level without a degree often include skilled trades like commercial pilots, real estate brokers, or sales managers, which rely on experience and licenses rather than formal degrees. Success in these roles depends on skills, performance, and industry demand.

Will radiology be replaced by AI in 10 years?

Online radiographers and other radiology professionals use AI tools to assist in image analysis and diagnosis, but AI is unlikely to fully replace human radiologists within 10 years. Instead, AI is expected to augment workflows, improve accuracy, and handle routine tasks, allowing radiographers to focus on patient care and complex cases. Maintaining skills in imaging technology and understanding AI applications will be valuable for radiology professionals in the evolving field.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Online Radiographer position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Online Radiographer, you need a solid background in medical imaging techniques, a degree in radiologic technology, and current radiography certification such as ARRT credentials. Proficiency with digital imaging software, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and secure telemedicine platforms is also essential. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills help you stand out when working remotely with patients and healthcare teams. These competencies ensure accurate imaging interpretation, secure data management, and a high standard of patient care in a virtual healthcare environment.
