This work is often done remotely, allowing proofreaders to work from anywhere with an internet connection. Online proofreaders may work on a variety of materials, including articles, websites, academic papers, and business documents.

What is an online proofreading job?

Your goal as a proofreader is to edit the project to ensure that all documents and drafts are completely error-free before publishing. Your duties are to edit, re-writing, and correct the content. Online professionals do all of this work from the comfort of their home. You may see proofreading jobs listed as editor, copywriter, line editor, book editor, proofer, and more. While these titles may have slightly different responsibilities, your core job remains the same.
