Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Medical Assistant to join our pain management team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in delivering specialized care to patients dealing with chronic and acute pain. If you’re passionate about helping others and thrive in a patient-centered environment, this position is for you!

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist physicians during pain management procedures, including injections, nerve blocks, and other treatments.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Take and document patient vitals, pain assessments, and medical histories.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication regimens, and follow-up care.
  • Perform basic care and assist in post-procedure monitoring.
  • Handle specimens for laboratory testing when needed.
  • Sen out referral and radiology orders
  • Submit medication prior authorizations

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices related to pain management.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
