Job description

SUMMARY: Facilitates the highest quality of EMS care and protection for
our customers and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assures compliance with State,
regional and local laws and policies of EMS department. Checking BLS and
ALS Equipment prior to each event, assist in inventory and
maintenance of all supplies and equipment assigned to the EMS Department. Responds to medical emergencies in and around the MVP arena.
Files reports and documents as required in compliance with NYS DOH
Regulations. Works closely with all employees in the EMS department and
fulfills all other duties as assigned. Self-starter and able to manage a sick patient alone.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises all employees assigned to the EMS Department when assigned as supervisor of events in the absence of the EMS Director. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with
ASM's policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential skill satisfactorily. The requirements
listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability
required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with
disabilities to perform the essential functions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Online paramedic with at least 5 years
continuous service to an ALS agency serving as an Advanced Life Support
Provider. Possess and maintain NYS Certification as a Paramedic,
without any disciplinary action taken against them either by New York
State or a Regional EMS Organization. Excellent oral and written skills as well as computer skills are required. Must have and maintain ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications throughout employment. If MVP Arena EMS is your primary agency, you must maintain your skills and do 20 hours of CME per year. Must have some weekend availability and be able to meet a two event a month work requirement when applicable.
Pay Rate: $28.24 / hour
