Job description

GEOSPATIAL ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION Location: Must be able to be onsite in Melbourne, FL Monday-Friday for project execution
Years’ Experience: 1+ years Professional Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required
Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.
Key Skills: • Experience manipulating digital images using Photoshop or other image enhancement software.
• Practical knowledge of online map applications like Google Maps, etc.
• Working knowledge of geospatial industry-standard geospatial software tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS preferred.
• Ability to understand latitude / longitude measurements in imagery.
• Military mapping experience preferred but not necessary. Responsibilities • Process digital satellite/image data to generate highly accurate geospatial image products that meet customer requirements
• Understand and utilize established image production processes.
• Exercise good judgement regarding data quality and project criteria.
• Deliver a high volume of products to meet customer requirements on a monthly basis.
• Follow written and verbal directions and work in a close team environment.
• Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications • Must either currently possess or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years GIS experience required.
• Experience manipulating digital images.
• Must have basic understanding of DMS and decimal coordinate systems.
• Experience with remotely sensed data and image processing.
• Computer competency in Windows environment. Familiarity with Linux or UNIX operating systems also helpful.
