Our customers love us (seriously, google Smartpress reviews) and we love them right back, providing an easy online experience, high-quality printed products and world-class customer service. Not to mention our commitment to eco-friendly practices and sustainable materials (“smart” is in our name, after all).

We are looking for an enthusiastic Press Operator to join our team. You’ll be part of a talented production group operating a new fleet of HP Indigo 12000 presses. This is a clean, fun, demanding environment. In this job you will review the electronic customer files and layouts containing the necessary components from the TBG/Smartpress designer, you will also ensure prepress operations have been completed with regard to checking the files prior to printing. Print operations include loading paper, removing finished products from the press and daily press maintenance. Printing experience is appreciated, but not required. Applicant Talents/Skills Production experience preferred sharp eye for detail/quality

Shifts available: Thursday through Saturday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm 

A variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:

  • a high school diploma or GED
  • experience operating small or large format press equipment, preferred. 
  • the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • HP Indigo 12000 / 100K press experience 

On top of that you must:

  • pay close attention to details on every project
  • have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google
  • be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
  • plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
  • have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
  • complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting company quality standards

In this position you'll:

  • ensure that files and layouts contain the necessary components, and have been signed off by the designer and prepress operations to ensure quality file resolution
  • prepare and check files to assure that they are printable.ensures files are imposed and stepped up to maximize yield of specified substrate and print device
  • print files once all quality checks have been completed in accordance to the specifications on the job ticket
  • follow all TBG protocols and procedures according to Company standards
  • perform miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by management

Compensation Range: $44,460 - $51,854 annually
