Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Language and Literature is responsible for teaching GEC courses in English, Foreign Languages, Humanities, and Philosophy. The department also houses degree programs in English, Foreign Languages and Interdisciplinary Studies.
Primary Purpose of Position
To teach courses in First-Year English Composition and/or Technical Writing for Project Kitty Hawk.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The position is for an English Adjunct faculty with an emphasis on classroom management and service to the department. Computer knowledge and willingness to train is mandatory. Use of University tools provided such as Canvas is required. Being able to communicate with students is necessary and expected.
Minimum Education/Experience
M.A. in English or other related field. Experience teaching online.
Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation
The applicant must hold a M.A. degree minimum 18 credit hours in English.
