Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Distance Learning/Counties Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the distance learning program, providing support and coordination for instructional services across ten (10) county sites. This position works closely with instructors to develop, implement, and maintain high-quality online learning content that promotes student engagement and academic success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Two (2) years of professional experience coordinating distance education, instructional design, or adult education programs.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of adult education principles, distance learning best practices, and online instructional design.
Proficiency in educational technology platforms, including Canvas, BurlingtonEnglish, and Aztec.
Knowledge of grant requirements, compliance standards, and distance learning guidelines applicable to adult education programs.
Ability to train, coach, and support instructors in the effective development and delivery of online instruction.
Ability to provide technical assistance and troubleshoot technology-related issues for students and staff.
Skill in promoting student engagement, retention, and success in virtual learning environments.
Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret attendance and assessment data to support program improvement and compliance.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks across multiple county sites.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with instructors, staff, students, and community partners.
Ability to teach online classes as needed to support program operations and instructional continuity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other instructional technologies used in distance learning programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree.
Three (3) years of experience coordinating distance education, instructional design, or adult education programs.
