Position Summary
This position provides the initial information about WashU and counseling support for prospective students and their families related to WashU admissions, financial assistance, and the enrollment process.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conducts on-campus information sessions for prospective students and families.
  • Supports visit experience by supervising and managing day-to-day tasks of student staff serving in the assigned area.
  • Conducts interviews and family meetings with prospective students.
  • Works with Visit Experience Coordinators to deliver special group visit and special programs on campus.
  • Supports the recruitment and selection efforts of department.
  • May work at the direction of the Digital Marketing and Communications Strategist to produce and maintain content for official and related departmental social media accounts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment
  • Attendance at on-campus events (events may occur during normal business hours or in evenings and weekends)
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Occasional travel to off-campus events may be required (less than 10% of time)
  • Work outside normal business hours is necessary throughout the year
  • Must assist with logistical tasks, including transporting materials to events

Physical Effort
  • Ability to staff welcome kiosks for long periods of time, proactively approaching visitors and serving them immediately upon arrival; much of the time is spent standing
  • Ability to lift/move items up to 20 lbs
