Online CCTV monitoring involves remotely observing and managing security camera footage over the internet. This service allows security personnel or property owners to view live or recorded video feeds from any location using computers, smartphones, or other devices. Some services also offer features like motion alerts, cloud storage, and integration with alarm systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an online CCTV monitoring operator?

Online CCTV monitoring professionals often encounter challenges such as maintaining focus during long shifts, promptly identifying suspicious activity, and managing multiple camera feeds simultaneously. To prepare, it's helpful to develop strong observational skills, learn effective time-management techniques, and become familiar with the specific monitoring software used by the employer.
